I agree that a person taking the pitbull postcard in such a negative manor probably lacks the general reasoning skills that helped develope mankind to what it is today. I feel that it is good having these kind of stupid people however. My reason is due to the fact that I am a criminal justice major at York College of Pennsylvania, and I plan on getting a job in the criminal justice field. Without these stupid people, there would be no need for law enforcement officials. Stupid people are who will help keep food on my table in the future. I want to thank all of the stupid people who made complaints about the pitbull postcard since, you all will help me feed my family, due to the fact that I will have to protect and serve the rest of the people from your feeble minds. To all of the "anti-postcard" folks. You are sinking to the level of those that seek to regulate Pit Bull ownership. You should arm yourselves with facts and statistics that support your argument, instead of lashing out with emotional outbursts.

Those that oppose Pits and Pit ownership use emotional arguments with out any factual basis. The way to defeat these people is to beat them over the head with facts. Every time someone accuses a Pit Bull of being aggressive, every time a Pit is misrepresented, respond with well-informed FACTS! Repeat the facts as often as you can.

In response to Laura L Lanham's letter, I quote "However the rights that our forefather granted us also come with the responsibility..." Please read your history. Our rights have been endowed by our creator, not our forefathers.

In conclusion I will just state that I have a five month old APBT. She is the most wonderful companion in the world. I find no offence with the postcard actually I found it quite humorous.

I just logged onto your website and I just read about how some people are writing hate mail. I own a pitbull myself and think that they are loving. I thought the postcard "Pet the Pitbull" was funny. I don't think anything negative. I enjoy the zooass site very much. What people have to understand is that a dog's temperment comes from how the owner raises the dog.

Seriously, pit bulls can be great dogs, but they can be a danger because of backyard breeding and idiot trainers. When a dog is bred to fight and is as incredibly strong for size as is the pitbull, you have a great potential for problems. A neighbor's pitbull once attacked my Samoyed, and it took two men to pull her off--and she probably didn't weigh 50 pounds.

So, owners, be responsible for your pet, and GET A GRIP. Life is funny.

a simple solution to this problem would be to change the name of the card. Instead of "pet the pit bull" call it "pet the pet" or "pet the dog" etc.I didn't vote but I did not find the postcard offensive, believe me if I did I would not be at your site at all!!

I have to say I found the pet bull postcard to be a bit amusing. I myself own three pits. If you take the postcard off the site I will very upset. I already showed thousands of online friends the postcard. I don't want to get into why this offends some people. The postcard is one of many hilarious features that are on this site. Keep up the good work!!!

These people must be, ignorant that is, all they do is complain and complain about how badly people treat them and their "dog" Well, I can attest that most of the Pit bull owners I know are down-right idiots!

As a mother and pit bull owner, I have to say that the people who have wrote in to complain about this postcard are completely without sense of humor or reality versus make-believe. I do not think that a child being mauled is funny but I am also aware that this is not an actual picture of that taking place. Removing this postcard from your site will NOT positively influence the way people feel about these animals any more than leaving it on will make a pit bull lover change their minds about the pets they care for so much. Please, Zooass, leave the pit bull postcard on and ignore the misinformed, uneducated folks who think that their freedom of speech overrides yours. This is America, guys, and the only way to keep our liberties is to let others have theirs, even when we don't agree with their words, actions, or sense of humor.

Any dog can be vicious if you train a chihuahua to rip off a persons face it will try to do it. A dog does what it is trained to do. Unfortunately the pit has gotten a bad rep because of the idiots who have trained some of these dogs to fight to the death. Any dog will protect it's territory which is natural. If the republicans can investigate the President of the united states and paste his love life up for the whole world to see then I don't see why a website should be shut down because of a bit of humor.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the pitbull post card. It actually brought a tear to my eye, remembering how we saved our pitbull (Twinkle) from starvation by feeding him our daughter. We miss our daughter but I know we would have missed Twinkle even more.

I am never surprised at how ridiculously stupid people can be when the issue is pit bulls. I am a pit bull owner, and I LOVED YOUR PET THE PITBULL CARD! You would be surprised at how many people pet my dog, then ask what breed it is, and as soon as they hear Pitbull they snatch their hand away in fear. I don't think your card is "sending a bad message" but rather poking fun at all the ignorant people that fear Pit- bulls.

Personally, I find this to be one of the best postcards on the site and in no way do I find it offensive. Nobody in their right mind would take this so seriously.

But let's look at it from the pitbull owner's points of view. They say that people will think that all pitbulls attack humans, but these people must already have come to that conclusion before viewing the postcard (I base this on the theory that if it had been a labrador (sp?) pictured then nobody would think that they are killers). Pitbulls have been portrayed in the media as being particularly viscious so there are many under this impression. With this postcard however you have presented these pitbull owners with a forum to better inform the general public that this is an unfair stereotype of these peace-loving dogs. The PB-owners therefore should be grateful to Zooass for this fantastic opportunity.

Let me remind all those dumbass, 3rd grade educated jerks out there that during the 18th century, many writers talked about issues by using satire( that means they joked about an important issue in a very cruel way sometimes). One good example of this is a writer named Jonathon Swift. Now, stupid people remember him for his lovely children's tale, Gulliver's Travels. Actually, this was one huge SATIRE ripping the British Government and hierarchy a new asshole. Would you ignorant pitbull owners like to bash Jonathan Swift for this, and his " Modest Proposal"? You know, he talks about eating babies to solve the starvation of the Irish people in there; plus, he gives some yummy recipes on how to prepare your young children. Do you think people took that seriously? I am not a Pit Bull owner but I have to say I agree with both sides of this issue, and here is why...I have been around a lot of Pit bulls and they are very nice!! But I strongly believe that the breed is being over bred!! Just like what happened with the Rotweillers (spelling bad LOL) All breeds have great potential, it's the problem with the demands for that breed that causes problems. I know this all to well because my family use to breed dogs and if they bred to fast some of the pups were alittle touched in the head to say it lightly!! The only problem I have with Pit bulls is where I live every other person owns one! Don't get me wrong I'm not afraid of the breed in the least it is just that these people (most of them) are not getting Pit Bulls because they love the breed it is because of the stereo type that comes with them. I've seen it over and over again....They put on the big spiked collars to make them look ever meaner and I think it is stupid. I do understand how the true owners feel. I have a breed of dog that has a bad rap as well. I am a proud owner of an Akita!!!!! I have had some of those moron pit bull owners ask me if my dog or theirs would win in a fight, those are the ones that give Pit bulls a bad name! I don't know about them but my dog is not a show piece or a dog to scare someone with, but a companion and member of my family. Pit bull terriers killed my neighbours cat, Bootsie, about 5 years ago. I loved him - he was all fluffy and cute....he was lying under a tree under my loungeroom windowe and two pit bulls raced forward and ripped Bootsie apart like he was a rag doll.

I'm not kidding! All dangerous breeds of dogs should be outlawed. Sometimes it's not the animal but the asshole owners that are attracted to purchase them. Men with tiny dicks mainly.

Thanks for the repsonse, but neither the Pitbull breed nor any breed for that matter are inherently mean. Usually, it is the owners who raise the dogs and train them for mal-intent.

As far as the dogs killing that cat, well it may suck and you may hate those dogs for it, but they were just being dogs. Most dogs would have done the same thing, regardless of whether they were pitbulls or not.

We don't disagree with the Pitbull people for feeling the way they do about their pets, we just think they should get a sense of humor :) We're poking fun at the stereotype, not endorsing it.

A dog is only as mean as the owner makes it. I would much rather have a pitbull than one of those little stupid dogs that always bark and bite at your ankles. In particular I'd like to make a response to Laura L Lanham's letter. She compared a disk jockey making racial remarks to Zooass depicting a dog biting a girl. Excuse me, but if I'm correct, sounds like she is comparing dogs to the black race. Does that sound just a bit screwed up to you as it does me? For that disc jockey to make his freedom of speech, that really and intentionally was meant to hurt people and for Zooass to humorously depict a dog, that's right, a DOG, not a PERSON biting a girl, is CRAZY, OUTRAGEOUS and plain STUPID! they are nothing alike. I have discussed this situation with 2 very close black friends of mine, and they agree, sounds like you are trying to compare dogs to humans, and for that, it makes you ignorant, insensitive and a bit racist yourself. Sure dogs are great, but Humans are greater! and your letter is far more offensive than anything I have ever seen on Zooass. All this nonsense and pitbullshit is making me peeved. I do not understand why these faithful pitbull owners are getting so distraught over entertainment and fun. Here are my thoughts, for what they're not worth----------- This pitbull controversy is only an acute case of pitbullshit...... Even this too shall pass. Did I "the beautiful Cherokee princess" get offended when the pocahooters was posted???? Did I declare that my breed was being misrepresented by invaluable media resources such as this? "NO" Mainly because I am not brainless, and I have a sense of humor. This world needs to lighten up... And what about the strip cherubs...did his honorable holiness send a lightening bolt down to corrupt the zooass site for making those holy angels into mischievous devils? again--"NO" Because even the heavens have a sense of humor. Those with the Dog chip on their shoulder need to shake it off, and join the world in lighthearted fun, heck, I'm a registered nurse, and have taken care of a child that had it's throat ripped open and her lung punctured by one of these dogs, but I didn't decide then that all dogs were bad... Just that one was...but he's a dead dog now! So everyone take a hit from my peacepipe cause that one mean one is now gone to the land of eternal bliss where he may rip the throat of mischievous devils for all eternity...Now, peace be with thee....

Uhh...people, can we not act so stupidly? Look at the other postcards on Zooass, those are just offensive, if not MORE offensive then that damn pitbull....

ANY, ANY, and I'll stress ***ANY*** animal can be a dangerous, killing machine...but only if they are raised to be. You can make a poodle be a killing machine...but you have to train it to be like that....the dogs reflect their owners....if the owner is a lazy, welfare cheque, redneck that beats the hell outta the dog, you're damn right the dog will probably be pissed...wouldn't you? But if you treat the dog with respect, and car for it, you'll not have a dangerous animal on your hands...right? RIGHT?

The people that are complaining have way, way too much time on their hands....there are better things that you people can be doing...like saving a whale or something. But for the love of GOD, this is the internet and if you can't take the jokes....then DON'T GO TO THE DAMN SITE!

Dont worry i am not a hate writer. Infact i love your site, its awesome. These dumb ass people that write you with hate mail about the pitbull are very ignorant. I mean the reason you come to zooass is to see shit like that right. Well i know thats why i come here, i want to see pitbulls biting shit.Your card didnt make me hate pitbulls in anyway. The problem with america, or one problem is lack of sense of humor. You need sense of humor, if not then your just a stuck up prick.I want to know what these people are doing here anyway.
